Atlantic Council: What Romania's role in the war with Iran reveals about its diplomatic positioning

Recent diplomatic tensions between Iran and Romania highlight the complexity of the strategic environment on NATO's eastern flank.

Romania has approved the deployment of American military capabilities on its territory, including KC-135 refueling aircraft, in the context of the U.S. request for temporary access to Romanian military infrastructure.
