Member of the European Parliament Diana Șoșoacă, leader of S.O.S. Romania, has sent a letter to the leaders of AUR and POT, inviting them to initiate discussions for the formation of a sovereignist bloc. The purpose of this initiative is to create a majority capable of taking over governance, in the context of a severe political and economic crisis. Șoșoacă proposes a protocol for political collaboration and a non-aggression pact, emphasizing the need to unify sovereignist forces to oust the current Government and organize early elections.
Among the priorities of this sovereignist bloc are the restoration of the rule of law, halting tax increases, protecting jobs, saving the education and health systems, supporting agriculture, and restoring infrastructure. Șoșoacă emphasizes that over 30% of the population of Romania lives in absolute poverty, and this political initiative must be sustainable and responsible. She awaits an open response and willingness for dialogue from the mentioned parties.
