Diana Buzoianu, the Minister of the Environment, stated that the political games triggered by the withdrawal of PSD could turn the geopolitical crisis at the border into a financial collapse directly felt by citizens.
Following the consultations at the Cotroceni Palace, Buzoianu reaffirmed USR's commitment to continuing reforms, emphasizing that the Executive's priorities must remain the implementation of governance solutions. Criticizing the instability created by the social democrats, she highlighted that Romania no longer has time to waste on political games, considering the fragile international context. Buzoianu warned that governmental instability could directly affect the living standards of Romanians, and the geopolitical crisis risks degenerating into a profound economic crisis.
“Romania no longer has time to waste on behind-the-scenes political games. We are going through an extremely fragile international context, where the geopolitical crisis at our borders risks degenerating into a profound economic one, felt in the pocket of every Romanian,” said Diana Buzoianu.
Her statements support the position of USR leader Dominic Fritz, who confirmed that the party will continue to support the government, despite the PSD vote for the withdrawal of political support.
