Dan Motreanu has announced his resignation as president of PNL Giurgiu during the meeting of the County Board of Directors, as a result of taking over the position of PNL Secretary General, considered incompatible with the leadership of the county organization. Toma Petcu, the current president of Giurgiu County Council, will take over the interim leadership. Under Motreanu's leadership, PNL Giurgiu has evolved significantly, becoming the main political force in the county, with multiple electoral gains.
