The former leader of the PNL, Crin Antonescu, launched a vehement attack against Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, accusing him of representing the continuation of the influence of 'Soros groups' in Romanian politics. Antonescu emphasized that the current situation requires civic mobilization, including street demonstrations, which he described as 'civilized, orderly, and democratic.' He called for discontent with the government to be expressed through protests and pressure on the parties in the governing coalition. Although he mentioned that he has no evidence regarding possible anti-American positions of the Prime Minister, Antonescu stated that Bolojan politically aligns with groups that influenced Romania during the time of former President Traian Băsescu, suggesting that these groups have never disappeared from the political landscape.
