In an intervention at Realitatea Plus, Crin Antonescu stated that he did not rely on the public support of Ilie Bolojan, the interim president at that time, during the presidential elections, and accused his advisors of supporting Nicușor Dan. Antonescu characterized the current leadership of the country as representative of only 30-35% of the population, claiming that PNL has become an annex of USR and criticized the party's progressive orientation. The former liberal leader emphasized that this situation ignores the wishes of a significant part of the electorate.
