A new round of consultations began on Monday at Cotroceni Palace to designate a new candidate for prime minister. President Nicușor Dan called the parties to negotiations after the Siegfried Mureșan government failed to pass the vote in Parliament.
Sorin Grindeanu is leading the PSD delegation that arrived at 14:00 for the consultations at Cotroceni Palace. It also includes Marian Neacșu, Ștefan Ovidiu Popa, Alex Rogobete, Dumitrița Gliga, and Simona Bucura Oprescu.
AUR President George Simion announced that he would not be part of the party’s delegation to today’s consultations at Cotroceni Palace and once again called for early elections.
The AUR delegation at Cotroceni will consist of Petrișor Peiu, Dan Dungaciu, Gianina Șerban, Laurențiu Plăeșu, and Mihai Enache.
The delegation of the National Liberal Party will be led by the party’s president, Ilie Bolojan. Dan Motreanu, Mircea Abrudean, Oana Gheorghiu, and Robert Sighiartău will also participate in the consultations, according to a statement sent by the party.
The USR delegation going to Cotroceni Palace will consist of Dominic Fritz and ministers Oana Țoiu, Diana Buzoianu, Radu Miruță, Irineu Darău, and Secretary of State Silvia Dinică.
