Constantin Toma, the mayor of Buzău, stated that the reform proposed by the PSD regarding the reduction of positions in local administration will not affect the majority of municipalities, estimating that three-quarters of them will not lay off employees. Toma also contests the figure put forward by the mayor of Craiova, Lia Olguța Vasilescu, regarding the total number of civil servants. During the PSD meeting, a differentiated reduction of positions and salary expenses was decided, leaving mayors the option to choose between layoffs or salary cuts.
