Ciprian Ciucu: "I do not want to be the president of Romania or the president of PNL. I want to dedicate more than four years of my life to our city, Bucharest."

The liberal Ciprian Ciucu announced that he will not run in the upcoming presidential elections, emphasizing that he prefers to remain the mayor of Bucharest in the long term. In an interview given to a TV station, Ciucu stated that his dedication to the city is a priority and that he does not see himself in the position of president of Romania or of PNL.

Additionally, exit polls suggest that Ciucu has won the elections for the Mayor of Bucharest, having a lead of over five percent against his opponent from PSD, Daniel Băluță, and being followed by Anca Alexandrescu, an independent supported by AUR.
