Ciprian Ciucu, the elected mayor of the Capital, has been appointed coordinator of PNL Bucharest, with the task of analyzing the liberal organizations in the sectors and proposing measures to improve their activities until the end of January 2026. The decision was made during the meeting of the National Permanent Bureau of PNL. Hubert Thuma, previously the coordinator of Bucharest-Ilfov, will remain only with the coordination of PNL Ilfov. Ciucu will also coordinate the PNL council group in the General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest, with a mandate to negotiate with other political parties.
In the same meeting, PNL approved measures for administrative reform, including reducing expenses and subsidies, as well as increasing the minimum wage. Ciprian Ciucu was president of PNL Bucharest for two years but resigned in February 2023 to focus on the issues of the Sector 6 City Hall.
