Ciprian Ciucu, the General Mayor of the Capital, reacted to the remarks of the social democrat Sorin Grindeanu regarding the corruption allegations, stating that he has not taken bribes and that he is not convicted. He emphasized that the case in which he is being investigated by the DNA has not been sent to court and believes that Grindeanu is using these accusations as a pretext.

Ciucu mentioned that he is facing pressure from developers who accuse him of wanting to harm the sector.

He also invited Grindeanu to visit his apartment in Drumul Taberei, highlighting the difference between his lifestyle and that of Grindeanu.

"And they want to politicize me because I am a 'loser'. My three-room apartment cannot be compared to Grindeanu's 'mansion', which I have seen in the press. There is a big difference. I can justify every penny. And if I went on vacation in Portugal, with my own money, from my salary with my family – because here I was attacked very, very much – I went with low cost."

Currently, Ciucu is under judicial control for corruption related to the issuance of permits during the period when he was the mayor of Sector 6.
