Ciprian Ciucu, first vice president of PNL, stated that PSD and Sorin Grindeanu do not wish to take over the leadership of the Government, looking for a liberal to "bait" with the position of prime minister until the elections. He emphasized that the social democrats have already obtained key positions in the administration and have appointed prosecutors, but do not trust Sorin Grindeanu as a leader. Ciucu explained that Grindeanu, having a trust rating of under 10% among Romanians, cannot effectively lead a government, as the lack of authority will lead to constant challenges.

"The last part of the government will want to push everything towards new ones, because Mr. Grindeanu knows one thing for sure. After the moment of Ordinance 13, he knows this: that a political leader who has under 10% trust from Romanians cannot be prime minister, cannot lead a government. Why? It's very simple: you have no authority. Authority is also formal, from Parliament, but it is also an authority based on trust and personal charisma that he does not have. Whatever he does, he will be challenged the next day. You cannot come up with public policies, you cannot apply government strategies if someone is constantly challenging you, people will take to the streets. Then he got scared and said: we come up with this strategy: I will kill Bolojan, I will find another liberal whom I will bait with the position of prime minister, we will give them all their governance, we are with the benefits, with the privileges, we are doing well, but swearing to the liberals. It can't go on like this! Assume the governance according to the protocol!", said Ciprian Ciucu, on Tuesday evening, on B1 Tv.
