Cătălin Drulă, the USR candidate for the Capital City Hall, announced that he will not participate in the presidential elections if he wins the December election, emphasizing that he wants to focus on improving the city. He explained that representative functions do not suit him and that he prefers to hold an executive position. Drulă invited President Nicușor Dan to the launch event of his candidacy and mentioned that previous presidents have participated in party events. In the electoral campaign, he proposes topics such as the unique metropolitan budget and referendums for building permits. Among his projects are the integration of the metro with STB, the rehabilitation of boulevards, and the urban regeneration of large squares. Drulă also responded to Sorin Grindeanu's critics, stating that he only needs the trust of Bucharest residents.
