Cătălin Drulă, the USR candidate for the Capital City Hall, reacted after the exit-poll results that place him in fourth place, with 12.8%. He emphasized that Bucharest needs reforms and urged Ciprian Ciucu, the elected mayor, to have the courage to implement them. Drulă mentioned the importance of reintroducing local elections in two rounds, believing that this system could bring greater legitimacy to mayors.
He also emphasized that USR will be a partner in beneficial projects for the city. In the top positions in the elections were Ciprian Ciucu (31.7%), Daniel Băluță (26.1%) and Anca Alexandrescu (21.1%). Drulă called for the law for two-round elections to be adopted in December.
