Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that he is not considering a candidacy for the presidential elections in 2030, in the event that the current president, Nicușor Dan, decides to run for a new term. Bolojan emphasized that, given his support for Dan in previous elections, there are no reasons to consider a personal candidacy. He mentioned that the relationship with the president is a functional one, characterized by collaboration and consultations on matters of common competence. Additionally, the prime minister ruled out the possibility of becoming president of the Senate at the beginning of summer, stating that Romania needs stability and that he is focusing on the current needs of the country. Regarding a political strategy, Bolojan rejected the idea of a passive attitude, emphasizing that he is not a resigned person and that he will make decisions based on political developments.
