Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated on Thursday that AUR benefits from an electoral advantage because it has never been in government, in a context marked by voter dissatisfaction and a lack of trust in political parties.
The interim prime minister gave as an example the appointment of journalist Sorina Matei, proposed by AUR, as interim president of the Romanian Television. He said that she would be able to demonstrate her skills by increasing viewership, reducing expenses, and reforming the institution.
Bolojan also criticized the conflicts within the coalition, stating that violations of agreements and a lack of responsibility are deepening public distrust. The new interim leaderships of the public Radio and Television were approved by Parliament following a decision by the Constitutional Court.
