Traian Băsescu states that the Veștea Government has no chance of being invested: "The PNL-ists have always been a keychain in governments with PSD"

Former president Traian Băsescu declared on Tuesday that the government led by Adrian Veștea will not succeed in obtaining the Parliament's vote.

Băsescu emphasized that PNL made two major concessions to calm internal spirits and keep UDMR on its side.

Băsescu mentioned that PNL has often been perceived as a "shelter" in governments with PSD, even when it had the prime minister.

He also highlighted that Bolojan recognized the need for flexibility, proposing a more honorable collaboration with UDMR and other parties, to the detriment of the Veștea government's option.

Băsescu concluded that, in the event that Veștea fails to obtain the vote, the procedure for early elections will be triggered.
