Traian Băsescu does not believe in the suspension of Nicușor Dan: "I think it is an exaggeration. The referendum will not pass."

Former president Traian Băsescu stated that Nicușor Dan will complete his term, considering that discussions about a possible suspension are exaggerated. In an interview with Digi24, Băsescu emphasized that even if the suspension procedure were initiated, the referendum for the president's dismissal would not be successful.

He dismissed the idea that Nicușor Dan is overwhelmed by the situation, explaining that the problem lies in his leadership style, which does not meet the expectations of a segment of society. Băsescu mentioned that Romanians want faster actions, while Dan prefers a slower pace.

"Yes. And I believe the nonsense about the suspension is an exaggeration. The referendum will not pass. If the suspension is made and once the suspension is done, the dismissal referendum will take place. I don't believe the dismissal will pass," said Traian Băsescu.
