Former President Traian Basescu believes that Nicușor Dan has a chance to win the presidential elections if he focuses on convincing the Romanian people, not on political alliances. He points out that although many first-round voters will not vote in the second round, there is an opportunity to mobilize those who did not show up at the polls. Basescu warns of the risks posed by a possible victory for George Simion, underlining the importance of maintaining Romania's western direction.
