Traian Băsescu blames Cătălin Drulă's failure on the incompetence of the USR ministers

Former president Traian Băsescu commented on the poor result of Cătălin Drulă in the Capital City Hall, stating that he was "executed" due to the actions of USR in government. Băsescu emphasized that he was not influenced by the support of the president, but by the issues managed by the ministers, especially at the Ministry of Environment.

Băsescu criticized the lack of political accountability from USR ministers, highlighting that they must answer for their decisions. Regarding the governing coalition, Băsescu does not believe there is a risk of it breaking apart, emphasizing the pragmatism of the PSD. He also mentioned that PSD should reevaluate its candidate selection strategy, considering the recent election results.
