Băsescu accuses PSD and PNL that they are setting a trap for Nicușor Dan: "'My government' is a trap"

Former president Traian Băsescu criticized PSD and PNL, accusing them of setting a trap for President Nicușor Dan by refusing to appoint a new prime minister.

In a Facebook post, Băsescu emphasized that these parties are trying to shed the responsibility of restoring the country they have brought to its knees. He mentioned that the "my government" proposed by these parties is a trap, leaving the responsibility of governance to the president.

Băsescu's criticism comes in the context of discussions for forming a new government, following the dismissal of the cabinet led by Ilie Bolojan through a vote of no confidence. Nicușor Dan has held consultations with various political formations, emphasizing the need for responsibility and maturity in finding a viable solution for governance.
