The First Vice-President of AUR, Dan Dungaciu, requested urgent clarifications from the Romanian Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the official position of the Romanian state regarding the European Pact on migration and asylum, which will come into force on June 12, 2026. This Pact provides for a mechanism for the relocation of refugees, imposing mandatory quotas for member states, including Romania, which could be affected by the relocation of migrants.

AUR demands transparency in communicating estimates regarding the number of migrants that could be relocated to Romania, the official position of the Government regarding the relocation of asylum seekers, the available alternatives, and the commitments made at the European level.

Dungaciu emphasizes the importance of informing the public about the implications of European decisions on national security and resources, calling for clear answers to avoid speculation.
