AUR leader George Simion has called for the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister Dragoș Anastasiu after he admitted in court that he bribed an ANAF inspector for eight years to avoid problems with controls. Anastasiu explained that he acted under blackmail, fearing for the future of his company. Although he has not been convicted, he was involved in a corruption case that led to the conviction of the ANAF official. Anastasiu stressed that he wants to encourage other entrepreneurs not to give in to pressure.
