AUR challenged the budget laws for the year 2026 at the Constitutional Court.

The Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) has challenged the budget laws for the year 2026 at the Constitutional Court. The party accuses the government led by Bolojan of serious violations of the Constitution and of adopting the budget through an abusive procedure that favored executive interests to the detriment of citizens.

The organization has submitted two constitutional complaints regarding the State Budget Law and the Social Security Budget Law, adopted in a joint session of Parliament on March 20, 2026. AUR argues that these laws were adopted in flagrant violation of the principles of the rule of law, through an expedited procedure that limited real debate in Parliament.
