On Sunday, in Alba Iulia, the National Congress of AUR will take place, where George Simion is the only candidate for a new term as party leader. The National Leadership Bureau of AUR decided to convene this congress in Alba Iulia, considering it a symbolic place for the unity of Romanians. Between November 24 - 27, AUR conducted an internal voting process, as a result of which Petrișor Peiu was elected president of the National Leadership Council (CNC) of the party. Vice-presidents were also elected, including Adrian Axinia and Mihai Enache. The AUR regulations stipulate that each candidate for leadership positions must have at least 100 supporters and 20 parliamentarians or MEPs.
