The Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) is challenging before the Constitutional Court the first package of fiscal measures adopted by the Bolojan government, describing it as a "festival of poverty and legislative chaos". AUR accuses the government of abuse of power and unconstitutionality, saying that the measures seriously affect millions of Romanians without proper parliamentary debate. The party believes the package paves the way for authoritarian rule and undermines citizens' rights.
