The designated Prime Minister Adrian Veștea is facing the risk of exclusion from the National Liberal Party (PNL) after he announced that he will not submit his mandate until the deadline set by the party leader, Ilie Bolojan, on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.

Sources from Digi24 indicate that, after this hour, the PNL Secretary General, Dan Motreanu, will note the non-fulfillment of the ultimatum and will convene an online meeting of the National Political Bureau, followed by a similar meeting of the National Council. An extraordinary Congress of the PNL, in which Veștea's exclusion will be decided, is scheduled for Sunday.

Gândul reported before the end of the BPN on Monday that the liberals led by Ilie Bolojan had agreed on the timeline for Adrian Veștea's exclusion from the party, after he was appointed Prime Minister by Nicușor Dan, without consulting the party.

In a post on Facebook, Veștea reaffirmed that he will not submit his mandate, emphasizing that he accepted responsibility in good faith and that Romania needs stability and a functional government. He expressed the desire to avoid conflicts within the party, respecting the decisions of his colleagues.
