The designated Prime Minister Adrian Veștea declared that he will not give up his mandate: "I am not bothered at all that there will be AUR parliamentarians who will vote for me out of patriotism."

Adrian Veștea, the prime minister appointed by President Nicușor Dan, announced that he does not intend to resign and will proceed with the request for a vote in Parliament, even though PNL, USR, and UDMR will not support him.

Adrian Veștea stated that he is open to dialogue with all parliamentary parties, including AUR, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in the context of the current political and economic crisis. He mentioned that Romania needs a functional government and called on all deputies and senators to participate in the vote. Veștea highlighted the challenges the country is facing, including the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and ensuring the protection of citizens. He stated that he will prepare a competent cabinet to address these challenges.
