Adrian Veștea, the designated prime minister, made a call on Monday to his colleagues from the National Liberal Party (PNL) just a few hours before the party leadership meeting, emphasizing the importance of assuming responsibility "in a moment of crossroads" for the country.
In a message posted on Facebook, Veștea stated that PNL, as a historic party, must "preserve its identity" and act in the interest of Romania.
He highlighted the necessity to implement reforms, to continue the programs from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), and to prioritize accession to the OECD.
Veștea emphasized that Romania needs a "stable and efficient" government to lead the country through this difficult period.
He encouraged his colleagues, including mayors and councilors, to collaborate rationally to achieve common goals.
