The designated Prime Minister Adrian Veștea launched a harsh attack on the president of PNL, Ilie Bolojan, after he announced his team with which he will run for the leadership of the party.
Veștea accuses that Bolojan has only one local elected official in his team, ignoring the liberals who contributed to the party's success. He believes that this Congress, convened for June 21, represents an elimination of traditional liberals and a destruction of PNL's identity. Veștea emphasizes that, in the context where the Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu and interim Minister Dragoș Pîslaru have recently joined the party, the old members are marginalized.
His criticisms also include concerns about the future of PNL, suggesting that the party could become a "keychain" of USR. In the end, Veștea expresses his optimism that a new Government will bring positive changes and restore liberal values.
