Only 4% of AUR voters trust Grindeanu. And only 12% of PSD voters trust Simion.

In the political history of Romania, we have had and will have many unnatural alliances, "monstrous" coalitions, political nepotism against nature: from radical liberals allied with conservatives to oust Cuza, to the censure motion initiated by AUR and USR, up to the new political bloc PSD - AUR.

I say this is a political collaboration against nature because AUR was born and feeds on anti-PSD sentiment, anti-system rhetoric, and anti-corruption mantras. And PSD has been "half-killed" electorally precisely by AUR.

And here it is not just political analysis. The voters of the two parties demonstrate this directly through their opinions about the leader of the party they have just allied with.

The inadequacy of the PSD - AUR alliance is perhaps best seen in the electoral structure of those who do and do not trust the PSD leader, Sorin Grindeanu, respectively those who do and do not trust the AUR leader George Simion. Only 4% of AUR voters trust Grindeanu. And only 12% of PSD voters trust Simion. The rest is gossip...

The data is extracted from the "Informat Barometer - INSCOP" collected between April 1-7, 2026. Research method: interview via questionnaire. The data was collected using the CATI method (telephone interviews), with a simple, stratified sample volume of 1100 people, representative of significant socio-demographic categories (gender, age, occupation) for the non-institutionalized population of Romania, aged 18 and over. The maximum allowable error of the data is ± 3%, at a confidence level of 95%.
