The analysis shows that about a third of the population has a negative attitude towards science and technology, and only 50% of Romanians believe that science has a positive impact. Education minister Daniel David warns that this phenomenon is linked to school drop-outs and functional illiteracy, posing a national security risk. He stresses the importance of 'truth' being established by experts, not popular opinion.
