The European Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the Slovak Ministry of Defense, suspecting misuse of €7.4 million in military aid to Ukraine. Eight people, including four civil servants, have been detained. The investigation revealed possible bid-rigging and overpricing of ammunition donated to Ukraine. Prime Minister Robert Fico, known for his closeness to Russia, has been criticized for his pro-Russian and anti-EU stances.
