The process initiated by Hungary contests the EU Council's decision to allocate military assistance to Ukraine through the European Peace Facility. Budapest is requesting the annulment of the measure, arguing that its veto was ignored, as it is not a "contributing member state." The court could take years to reach a verdict, while assistance to Ukraine continues. Tensions between Hungary and Ukraine have recently increased, especially after Ukrainian attacks on Russian infrastructure that also affect Hungary.
