Five special agents of the law enforcement forces in the western United States reported observing red and orange luminous spheres in the sky, according to a new set of documents released by the U.S. Department of Defense. The phenomenon was reported over the course of two days, near a target considered sensitive to national security. Witnesses described a bright orange sphere, referred to as the "mother sphere," from which smaller red spheres appeared to detach. The documents, which include information from CIA, FBI, and Pentagon archives and cover reports dating back to 1949, present several cases of unidentified anomalous phenomena. A Pentagon spokesperson stated that the investigation into the incident remains open, with authorities not ruling out the possibility that the observed objects may be of unknown origin, after eliminating the hypotheses of military aircraft or drones. Additionally, a report published in July 2025 notes similar observations, including the appearance of an extremely bright light and glowing red spheres in the sky.
