The NASA-STD-6001B test has been used to assess the flammability of materials, but in microgravity, flames behave differently, forming spherical spots. The FM2 experiment will launch an autonomous camera to the Moon to burn samples of solid fuel and monitor the flames in real time, thus contributing to the understanding of fire dynamics in lunar conditions. This research is essential for the safety of future space missions.
