Microsoft has conducted a study suggesting that AI could take over most tasks in 40 professions, including 91% of the work of historians and mathematicians, and 90% of the tasks of programmers. Large companies, such as Microsoft and Amazon, have already begun to reduce their workforce in favor of automation. Although some jobs are disappearing, others are emerging, and skills in AI are becoming increasingly valuable in the job market. Joe Turner, a writer affected by AI, remains skeptical about the quality of automated work.
