Dacia has revealed the name of its new crossover model, Striker, which will be launched this year. Inspired by the '80s, the name suggests strength, precision, and impact, having a familiar -er ending, similar to the Duster, Jogger, and Bigster models. Striker reflects the brand's ambition and is derived from the expression 'to strike', symbolizing a versatile and robust model. Alongside Striker, Dacia will also launch a small electric car and a C-segment model, with thermal and hybrid engines, in 2026. Dacia sold nearly 700,000 cars worldwide last year, with a 3% increase, and the Sandero was the best-selling model in Europe. Additionally, hybrids recorded a significant increase of 122%.
