The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will participate in the NATO summit that will take place in Ankara in July, announced the Secretary General of the alliance, Mark Rutte. Rutte confirmed the invitation addressed to Zelensky during a press conference at the end of a meeting of NATO foreign ministers, held in Sweden to prepare for the summit.
In the context of the situation in Ukraine, Rutte praised the country's efforts in the fight against Russia, mentioning that there is information indicating that Ukraine is managing to regain territories, although not on a large scale. He emphasized that the situation is stabilizing and evolving in the right direction. Rutte added that, in the last two weeks, things have not been going well for Russia, suggesting that Putin would not be pleased with recent developments. Zelensky will be present at the summit in Ankara, just as he was in The Hague.
