Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the recent restrictions on social networks in Russia are not only meant to protect Vladimir Putin but also to prevent protests generated by widespread mobilization. Zelensky emphasized that such mobilization in large cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg could lead to social unrest. He explained that the mobilization could be used either to resume a major offensive against Ukraine or to conduct operations in other directions with reduced forces. He also warned that Russia might try to involve Belarus in the conflict and mentioned possible provocations at the border. Meanwhile, Ukraine reported a new wave of airstrikes, with 142 drones launched by Russia, most of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense. The attacks caused material damage in various regions, including in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk, where casualties were also reported.
