Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia wants to involve Belarus more in the conflict in Ukraine

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced on Friday that intelligence information suggests that Russia intends to involve its ally Belarus again in the war in Ukraine. According to his statements, construction work on roads and the establishment of artillery positions is taking place near the border with Belarus. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine has warned the Belarusian leadership about its readiness to defend its territory and independence.

In the same context, Foreign Minister Andrii Sibiha mentioned that Ukraine is open to a meeting between Zelensky and Putin in Turkey, but rejected the Kremlin's proposal to meet in Moscow, considering it unacceptable. This situation highlights the ongoing tensions in the region and the complexity of international relations in the context of the war.
