The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced on Sunday the intention to carry out a government reshuffle, proposing the replacement of Prime Minister Iulia Svyrydenko, one year after taking office. Zelensky expressed gratitude for her work but emphasized the need for changes in the Executive, arguing that Ukraine is changing its political strategy.
He specified that each priority direction of foreign policy will be coordinated by a person with significant experience. Among the mentioned priorities are relations with the USA, cooperation in the field of security, and EU accession. Additionally, Zelensky announced the intention to intensify efforts in border regions and emphasized the importance of preparations for winter. Iulia Svyrydenko, who took office as Prime Minister in July 2025, was the first woman to hold this position during wartime.
