Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready to provide support for the unlocking of the Strait of Hormuz, considering its experience in unlocking the trade route in the Black Sea. During his visit to the Middle East, Zelensky discussed this issue, emphasizing its importance in the context of the global energy crisis. He mentioned that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have successfully managed to unlock the route in the Black Sea and that, although the management of the Strait of Hormuz is primarily the responsibility of the United States, Ukraine is willing to support its partners' efforts. The G7 foreign ministers have decided to implement a security mission in the area, but this depends on the resolution of the conflict in Iran. American President Donald Trump warned Iran about the opening of the strait, threatening military action if the situation does not resolve quickly.
