Warren Buffett, billionaire and chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, announced that he has stopped donating to the Gates Foundation, following controversies related to Bill Gates' interactions with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Buffett recently donated shares worth 6 billion dollars to four charitable foundations run by his family, mentioning that he will continue to donate the remaining shares until 2034.

Over the years, the Gates Foundation has received donations of over 47 billion dollars from Buffett. Bill Gates acknowledged that he did not fully understand the severity of Epstein's crimes and stated that it was a mistake to meet with him. Recent documents have shown that Gates and Epstein met frequently, and Gates admitted to having extramarital relationships, but emphasized that these did not involve Epstein's victims. This situation has generated controversy and affected the image of the Gates Foundation.
