Mass protests in Nepal have led to extreme violence, culminating in the burning of the Parliament building in Kathmandu and the residence of the recently ousted Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli. Over 20 people have died and more than 300 have been injured in clashes with the police. Young protesters are demanding measures against corruption and censorship, and the Rastriya Swatantra Party has resigned en bloc, calling for an interim civilian government and an investigation into the repression.
