Vietnam has issued evacuation orders for over 586,000 people ahead of the arrival of Typhoon Kajiki.

Typhoon Kajiki is approaching Vietnam, already packing winds of up to 166km/h (103mph). Evacuations are targeting the central provinces of Thanh Hoa, Quang Tri, Hue and Da Nang, where people have been asked to leave their homes. Flights have been canceled and boats have been instructed to stay ashore. The typhoon is also affecting Hainan, China, where the meteorological agency warned up to 320mm of rain is forecast.
