Victor Negrescu led a meeting of the European Parliament's Committee on Budgets delegation ahead of its mission to the United States, stressing the importance of protecting European industries from economic risks and trade tensions. He welcomed the defense cooperation agreement, but also highlighted the one-sided trade risks affecting Romania. Negrescu called for a rapid EU reaction mechanism to support affected industries and hoped his mission to the US would help unblock the situation.
