American officials are discussing a possible second face-to-face meeting with Iranian officials before the expiration of the ceasefire on April 21. Although the initial discussions did not lead to an agreement, they are part of an ongoing diplomatic process. A source in the U.S. stated that data and locations for a new meeting are being analyzed, but it is unclear whether this will materialize, given Iran's previous resistance to U.S. demands.

Both parties have proposed suspending uranium enrichment, but they have not reached a consensus on the duration of the moratorium. Iran believes it holds an advantage in negotiations, considering the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, Iran has estimated war losses at $270 billion, highlighting the impact of U.S. and Israeli attacks.

Recent negotiations have brought the parties "very close" to an agreement, but divergences persist regarding the nuclear file and Iran's access to frozen assets.
