Ursula von der Leyen discussed with Donald Trump new measures aimed at increasing the "economic pressure" on Russia

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, had a conversation with the President of the USA, Donald Trump, regarding the strengthening of economic sanctions against Russia, in the context of the war in Ukraine. She announced that the EU will soon present a 19th package of sanctions, which will target cryptocurrencies, banks, and the Russian energy sector. These measures will affect approximately six banks and energy companies, as well as payment systems in Russia, aiming to increase economic pressure on the country.
