New peace negotiations Russia - Ukraine, mediated by the USA, this week

On Saturday, during the Munich Security Conference, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that there are still questions regarding future security guarantees for his country. Zelensky questioned how the concept of a free trade zone – proposed by the U.S. – would function in the Donbas region, which Russia insists that Kyiv must cede to achieve peace.

He stated that Americans want peace as soon as possible and that the U.S. team wants to sign all agreements regarding Ukraine at the same time, while Ukraine wants security guarantees for the future of the country to be signed first.
